What is stored locally
Simple Repair Note
- You may save a device name and a short note for your own reference.
- Notes are stored locally in Android SharedPreferences as JSON. They never leave the device.
- You can delete a note from the Simple Repair Note screen (long-press and confirm).
Device Care Checklist
- Checkbox states are saved locally in Android SharedPreferences.
- Use the Reset Checklist button to clear all saved states.
Read-only sections
- Company profile, product categories, repair information, maintenance tips, FAQ, and app info are static, offline text.
- The App Info screen reads the app version from the package to display it; nothing is transmitted or stored.
Connectivity and permissions
No runtime permissions
- No internet permission is requested; the app does not send or receive data online.
- No camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage access, Bluetooth, or notification permissions are requested.
- The app does not run background network calls or synchronization tasks.
Data retention and control
Your choices
- Repair notes: delete any note from the Simple Repair Note list; uninstalling the app removes all saved notes.
- Checklist: use the Reset Checklist button to clear saved states; uninstalling the app removes all saved states.
- Because everything is offline and local, there is no remote backup or server copy to remove.
Security

- Local data is kept in the app’s private storage area provided by Android.
- No additional encryption beyond the protections of your device OS is applied.
- Use device security (screen lock, OS updates) to protect access to your device.
